BUY A BOOK - HELP THE LIBRARY

Location. The Friends bookstore is located inside the La Quinta library, just down the hall from the Circulation Desk.

Prices. Most adult books are $1 or less, children’s books are $0.25. Plus, EVERY CENT supports library programs, keeping the love of reading thriving.

Store collection. We sell fiction and non-fiction for adults and children. Our store is organized in sections, including hard and soft cover general fiction, mysteries, thrillers, biographies, history, language, health & fitness, cookbooks, etc. (Please note we no longer sell other media (DVDs, CDs, etc). We often have a variety of magazines for free.

Bookstore volunteers. The bookstore is run solely by community volunteers, some year-rounders and some snowbirds. We are an energetic group ranging in age from 30s to 80s. We set our own hours around our own busy schedules. We enjoy each other’s company, and on a regular basis, we get together to catch up over coffee or a bookstore work party. We could always use more help: join us!

Book donations. The bookstore sells books donated by community members. Have books that are relatively new (2000 and more recent) and in good condition? Drop them off at the Circulation Desk, and we’ll gratefully sort through them and add them to our bookstore shelves.

Please check your books before donating to be sure you’ve removed any personal items (letters, photos, etc). Also, please note we no longer accept donations of other media like DVDs, CDs, etc. Angel View will happily accept those.
